A leading Central Iowa manufacturer is in need of a Product Marketing Manager to guide a team. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. This position is responsible for building product ideas from existing ideas, and developing new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers, prospects, and the general market place.This position requires an individual that possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. Individual will devote time in the market place to understand problems, and develop innovative solutions for the broader market. Individual must be able to communicate with all areas of the company, and including working with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements, working with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. Duties also involve serving as the internal and external evangelist for product offerings, working proactively with the sales channel and key customers. A Product Marketing Manager’s key role is strategic, not tactical. REQUIREMENTS· 3+ years of business-to-business technology marketing/product management experience. · Technical and marketing degree, MS or MBA preferred This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (25%).
