This manager will be responsible to lead plastics-based product
development process from concept through commercialization with guidance
from group/department management for our client's businesses.
Responsibilities:
Identify and
lead new product concept, product modifications, and product
development of company products.
Lead project
teams throughout the development process, communicate progress to all
cross-functional members, and resolve conflicts with the development
process.
Develop project
plans and timelines for new product projects.
Communicate on a
regular basis with sales team to understand the needs of the customer.
Financial
analysis to determine the cost structure of new product concepts or
design.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree
in chemical or mechanical engineering or industrial design.
Minimum of 5
years project lead experience in a consumer product development
environment or related industry.
Substantial
product development expertise, particularly in consumer products.
Knowledge of
polymers and polymer processing technologies.
Knowledge of
extrusion/plant operation desired.
Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to
function effectively in a team environment.
