Design Engineer

Our client, a leading mobile equipment manufacturer is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join their expanding team!  The chosen individual will assist lead engineers or act as lead in the design and layout of new products and modifications/refinements to current products. 

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

• Designing new products or components and modifications/refinements on assigned line of products in accordance with established specifications such as size, capacities, performance requirements, etc.
• Make required calculations to determine and establish acceptable standards of performance, material selection, type of construction, etc.
• Create pseudo, layout and detail drawings using the existing CAD/CAM system. 
• Compile bill of materials using current MRP system.
• Process engineering change notices.
• Performs research pertinent to the design and maintains reference criteria incident to the design.
• Follow the production and testing of prototypes and pilot models and where necessary; analyze results, provide information, technical assistance and corrective actions.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have a two year technical degree, bachelor’s degree preferred. You must also have previous Machine Design experience with emphasis in mobile equipment, experience with engine installations and/or mechanical and hydraulic drives would be helpful and Unigraphics CAD experience preferred. This company offers a competitive salary and benefits.
