 Midwest Mechanical Engineer  

Our client is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding team!  The chosen individual will be supporting plant safety by participating in safety programs and continuous improvement projects.  This position will also respond and support operational problems in a hands-on manufacturing environment, as well as provide support to the plant maintenance team.     

Project Work Includes:

  • Develop and design specifications and project drawings

  • Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems

  • Apply principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials

  • Design and modify equipment for fabricating, building, assembling and installing components

  • Set project schedule and track expenses

  • Evaluate and procure equipment

  • Evaluate, hire and manage contractor services

  • Assess safety considerations

  • Complete project documentation

Requirements for the position include a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills, AutoCAD experience a plus. This company offers a competitive salary and benefits.
