Midwest Quality Leader 06/12/03

We are seeking a Quality Leader responsible for developing and implementing the Quality Strategy into the overall site Quality Plan, and driving action through team leadership and individual action.
 
This position reports to the Plant Manager as well as the Vice-President of Quality for North America. This position will have primary responsibility for the Quality of the Product line as a whole, from design to field success, including all Quality aspects of Supply and Manufacturing. Additional responsibilities include development and execution of product line/site Quality Plan supporting Quality and Operations strategies including customer interaction and support; drive objective goal setting and attainment of these and corporate metrics on a consistent basis; and review and analyze current product/production to ensure compliance, reliable and overall quality of delivered product as well as monitor and manage field performance of product, driving change to manufacturing process or design to ensure appropriate product performance. This position will also be responsible for governing all ISO 9001 and 14001 activities including new certifications, internal and external audits, and document control. .

Skills required & Qualifications include a four year degree in Engineering or related field is required, advanced degree preferred. You should have at least 5 years in relevant Quality and Operations experience. Six Sigma experience, BB or MBB certification preferred. You should have strong communication, organizational, project management, presentation, and customer service skills. In addition, you should have solid influential communication skills; ability to lead change; the ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; the leadership potential to coach, mentor and develop people; and experience with Microsoft Office products. Willingness to travel as required.
