Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, an industry leader in the consumer home products, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its team.  This position will be responsible for producing original designs and recommendations on projects and evaluating and testing to support new product development and concepts. Preferred candidates will have a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.  The ideal candidate will also have previous experience leading projects from design concepts through production and working knowledge of Microsoft Project.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of following requirements:  

• Produce and maintain data, documentation, or reports for assigned projects.

• Ability to work in a team setting with multiple departments

• Create functional prototypes, initiate and perform tests which may be translated into final products that meet standards.

• Create Bill of Materials and provide a smooth transition of new or revised designs to manufacturing.

• Contribute freely to the solution of identified quality, consumer, customer, marketing, or sales problems with existing products as needed.

• Make presentations

• Initiate and implement engineering change requests and orders on all existing product changes and new product introductions.

• Act as a technical resource for potential field issues.

• Actively participate in Rapid Continuous Improvement projects.

• Other duties as assigned.
