Assembly & Warehouse Supervisor

Our client, a durable goods Fortune 500 company in West Tennessee is seeking an Assembly and Warehouse Supervisor.  This position is responsible for the daily operations including inbound/outbound shipments, warehousing, assembling, budgeting, planning, inventory control, staffing, and customer service. 

Responsibilities:

·        Directly responsible for the overall department management. 

·        Provide strong direction in daily improvements through lean implementation, monitoring all work for quality and timeliness, problem solving and decision making, ensuring safety, and performance management. 

·        Develop and manage short and long term plans to achieve business objectives. 

Requirements:

·        Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience.

·        Knowledge of warehouse distribution or related field.

·        Thorough understanding of production/distribution processes.

• Excellent problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams in problem solving activities.

·        Excellent understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques, preferred training in JIT.

·        Good verbal and written communication skills.
